How it works
A simple, safe way to buy and sell online assets
One broker, verified numbers and escrow on every deal. Here is exactly what happens.
For buyers
- 1
Find the right asset
Browse listings or set up an alert. Tell us your budget and we’ll send matches.
- 2
Review verified details
Ask questions and request the CIM under NDA. Numbers are checked at the source.
- 3
Make an offer
Send an offer through the listing. We negotiate terms and the handover plan.
- 4
Pay into escrow, receive the asset
Fund Escrow.com, we transfer the asset, you confirm, the seller is paid.
For sellers
- 1
Submit your asset
Answer the questions a buyer would ask. About five minutes.
- 2
Verification and valuation
We verify ownership, traffic and revenue and agree a price range with you.
- 3
We prepare the listing and CIM
A clean public listing and a professional CIM for serious buyers.
- 4
We sell it
We market to our buyers, handle the negotiation and run the escrow and transfer.
Our standards
What makes a listing trustworthy
Vetted before it’s listed
We check ownership, history, traffic and earnings before anything goes live. Domains are screened for spam history, trademark issues and toxic links.
Real numbers, verified
Revenue and traffic are checked against the source: Google Analytics, Search Console, payment processors and ad dashboards, not screenshots.
A CIM for every business
Serious buyers get a confidential information memorandum under NDA with the full financials, operations and growth plan.
Safe, escrow-protected transfers
Every deal closes through Escrow.com. The seller is paid only after the buyer confirms the domain, site or channel is in their hands.
Confidentiality (NDA) terms
When you request a CIM or other seller information you agree to: use it only to evaluate this acquisition; not share it with anyone except your advisers or funders, who must keep it confidential too; not contact the seller’s customers, suppliers, staff or partners without our written OK; not copy the business, its content or its strategy; and delete the information if you decide not to proceed.
Questions, answered
Frequently asked questions
Do buyers pay a fee?
No. Buyers pay the agreed price plus the Escrow.com fee, which is usually split or agreed during negotiation.
What is your fee for sellers?
Listing is free and you pay only when the sale closes. Managed-sale success fees start at 15% and decline progressively as the sale price rises. Each rate applies only to the portion of the price inside its tier. See fees and the calculator.
Why Escrow.com?
It is licensed, independent and built for domain and website transfers. Nobody, including us, can touch the money until the buyer confirms they received the asset.
What is in a CIM?
An executive summary, monthly financials, traffic and SEO data, operations, the tools and team involved, risks, growth opportunities, what’s included and the deal terms.
Can a deal fall through after escrow?
If the transfer doesn’t happen or the asset isn’t as described, the buyer can dispute within the inspection period and the funds are returned.
