How are websites priced?
Most small online businesses sell for a multiple of annual SDE (profit plus one owner’s pay), commonly around 2x to 3.5x depending on the model. Age, trend, traffic diversity, recurring revenue and owner time move it up or down. See typical multiples by business model.
Can I see the URL before buying?
Some listings show it. For most businesses the URL and the CIM are shared after you sign a simple NDA, which protects the seller from copycats.
What is a CIM?
A confidential information memorandum: the full picture of the business, including monthly financials, traffic sources, operations, risks and growth opportunities.
Do sellers help after the sale?
Most offer 30 to 90 days of support. Each listing states what the seller includes.
